John Adams's Doctor Atomic will have its New York premiere at the Metropolitan Opera on October 13, 2008—marking the first time an opera by Adams will be performed at the Met—and then appear at ENO in February 2009, reports broadwayworld.com.  "Gerald Finley will sing the role of Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer in both New York and London, reprising his acclaimed portrayal of the title role."
